Colin Koh, Past President(2002-2005) of Singapore Industrial Automation Association (SIAA) has been involved in the industrial automation, power quality and energy management industry since the mid 80's. He is also the Vice-Chairman of ICEE (Industry Committee of Energy Efficiency)a NGO promoting environmental technologies under the umbralla of Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), technical advisor of wireless sensor network of A*Star and Industry Advisory committee of Ngee Ann Polytechnics and ITE West College. Currently the General Manager of PC2M Asia Pacific and Senior Business Development Manager of Precicon D & C Pte Ltd, both companies are members of Lim Kim Hai Group of Companies which, in turn, is part of Singapore Mainboard-listed Tai Sin Electric Cables Manufacturer Limited. Colin holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (BBBA) from RMIT and a Master Degree of Administration (MBA) from Preston University. Colin initiated the first Industrial Automation Award 2002 to recognize local industries for their effort in implementing automation for their enterprise. An advocate of automation technologies, Colin is active in the automation, power quality and energy management communities and speaks periodically at related conferences. His recent industry involvement is to promote and M2M technology and help to equipped the IA industry to transit into “Knowledge Based Manufacturing” and application of automation technologies in climate change and sustainable energy in Asian region.
