The term "connected building" implies many things, and is often interpreted diffidently by differing stakeholders around the lifecycle of the building. With the broad adoption of IT and Internet based technologies such as TCP/IP, XML and Web Services, there is now an opportunity to broaden the true and valuable meaning of a connected building. This session will present the views of key driving forces for the concept of connected buildings and will deliver a picture of possibilities to accomplish the needs of today while opening up untold opportunities for the future.
